Frequently asked
Everything before the first pedal stroke.
- How fit do I need to be?
- Our rides are guided at a group pace with a support vehicle nearby. For Girona, you should be comfortable riding 80–115km days back to back. Nobody gets dropped and no day is a race — but the more base miles you arrive with, the more of the week you'll enjoy.
- What's included in the trip price?
- Accommodation, all breakfasts, lunches and dinners, a farewell dinner with wine tasting, guided riding on every route day, rental bike and professional bike fit, route briefings, support vehicle and mechanical support, and airport-to-basecamp transfer coordination. Flights and personal insurance are not included.
- Do I need to bring my own bike?
- No. A rental gravel or road bike and a professional fit are included in the Girona trip. If you'd rather ride your own bike, we'll coordinate travel cases and have a mechanic build and check it on arrival.
- What gear should I bring?
- Bring your own pedals, shoes and helmet if you can — they make a rental bike feel like yours. October in Girona means mild days around 18–22°C with cool mornings, so pack layers, a light jacket, and something for the evenings.
- How do I get there?
- Fly into Barcelona–El Prat (BCN). The train to Girona takes about 90 minutes and we coordinate the timing so you arrive together with the group. On departure day, transfers back to BCN run from 10 AM to 2 PM.
- How do I reserve, and what are the payment terms?
- Reach out to Matt or Lizzie. We'll send an onboarding form and a payment link, and a 50% deposit holds your spot. For Girona, please reserve by September 1st, 2026 — group size is capped.
- How large is the group?
- Deliberately small. Girona is capped by the basecamp itself — ten ensuite rooms — which keeps the riding, the dinner table and the support ratio the way we want them.
- Can my partner come along if they don't ride?
- Yes. There's plenty to do while the group is out: the pool and gardens at the basecamp, Girona's Old Quarter, the coast, and the food. Tell us when you book and we'll plan around it.
Still wondering?
Ask us anything — training plans, luggage, rental sizing, or whether your legs are ready. We answer every message ourselves.
