About ASKA VELO Travel

Run by riders, for riders.

A long history of riding with the best — and on the most iconic routes in the world. We build the weeks we want to ride ourselves.

What we do

Legendary roads, at a vacation pace.

ASKA VELO Travel will redefine your idea of not only adventure travel, but travel altogether. Ride the routes you have always dreamed of, dine on meals you have read about, and take in views that genuinely stop you mid-pedal.

Every week is all-inclusive and fully supported: one basecamp so you unpack once, a vehicle and mechanic within reach, long lunches in idyllic towns, and a group small enough to fit around one dinner table. Challenge yourself on the very roads traversed by the best cyclists in the world, then unwind with a group of like-minded athletes.

We don't run mass-market departures. Group sizes are set by the houses we partner with, not by a spreadsheet — which is why our trips tend to fill from our own list before they're ever advertised.

Who you ride with.

  • Matt Cole

    Matt Cole

    Founder, ASKA VELO Travel

Riding bikes for as long as he can remember, Matt is a cycling fanatic from the Appalachian Mountains. When he isn't riding, he owns and operates the U.S.'s largest triathlon shop, all3sports.com, and his high-end fit studio Podium in Atlanta. Matt founded ASKA VELO Travel to feed his appetite for luxury endurance travel with the greatest amenities for cyclists. His hobbies include triathlon, alpine climbing, and fly fishing with his wife Kelley and kids Lucas and Ava. His motto: dream big, dream fast.

  • Mike Palmeri

    Mike Palmeri

    Guide & Mechanic

Michael Palmeri has dedicated his entire life to all things bicycles. Sparked by reading bicycle magazines as a child, his career started on the Schwinn BMX Team, competing internationally. In 1989 he opened his own shop in Ellijay, Georgia — a regional hub for road and mountain biking, custom frames, and certified mechanic work. Alongside 33 years as an Atlanta firefighter, he has organized rides including the Italian Bicycle Festival, 24 Half Hours of Ellijay, and the Tour de Georgia.
